Sarah Hilliam

Sarah is a Doctor of Chiropractic and the principal practitioner at Herts Family Chiropractic.

She graduated in 2004 from the University of Surrey with a Master of Chiropractic degree and has gained over 16 years of experience working in a wide range of chiropractic clinics. She is fully registered with the General Chiropractic Council, who continually monitor her professional standards to ensure you receive the highest quality of care. She is also a member of the British Chiropractic Association.

Sarah has a broad experience in private practice. Sarah has worked in London in a number of specialist chiropractic clinics, treating athletes, expectant mothers and children and the elderly on a range of acute and chronic conditions. She most enjoyed working in a busy family centred clinic in Beckenham in Kent for 7 years, before relocating to Hertfordshire to start her family. In between having her three children, she worked at the Hertfordshire Chiropractic Clinic in Welwyn Garden City, helping to relieve those in pain and promote their health and wellbeing through chiropractic care.

Sarah established Herts Family Chiropractic in January 2019 to provide people and families of all ages in Hertfordshire with high quality, affordable health care in a relaxed and caring environment. Her passion for helping people achieve optimum health through chiropractic and healthy living and her holistic approach to each and every individual, ensures patients get care tailored to their specific need and circumstance..

Sarah is a proud advocate of chiropractic care as a natural no-drug therapy. Her treatment style involves a number of techniques from stretching to acupuncture (dry needle therapy) and joint manipulation. This along with exercise and simple lifestyle education yields the optimal long-term results and allows the patient to be in control of their wellbeing.

Sarah has significant experience in assisting mothers during pregnancy and helping babies adapt to their first few months in the world. She realised the power of chiropractic during her own three pregnancies, which all ended in calm water births. She developed a real passion to help every mother have the same positive experience as she did. She is committed to supporting mums in the pre and post-natal period because there is no denying it, bearing and raising a child is demanding; emotionally, mentally and physically.

Sarah loves all aspects of chiropractic but specifically enjoys sports rehabilitation. With a background based upon a Sport and Exercise Science degree, personal training and playing competitive sport herself, Sarah fully understands the recovery process and always seeks to promote a return to sport as soon as possible. She also gets a great deal of satisfaction in helping patients move beyond their limiting ‘threshold’ of sporting ability and reach their maximum potential in sports performance.

In her free time, Sarah enjoys exercising and all outdoor activities, socialising, and spending time with her husband and three young children, Betsy, Josie and Sonny.
